Full Time Traineeship:The Full-Time traineeship is conducted over 1-2years, depending on the entry level of the trainee. During this time, trainees complete either Certificate II or III in Agriculture (Beef Cattle Production). A Host Employer is the owner/manager of the property where you live and work for the duration of the traineeship. As a Full – Time trainee, you attend 2 Training Blocks a year, which go for 1 – 2 weeks duration. These are either at Charters Towers or Mt. Isa. A Training Block provides guided instruction by our qualified Work Place Trainer and Assessors. School Based Traineeship:The school based traineeship is generally conducted during Years 10, 11 or 12 and usually takes one year to complete. Students are required to complete one week of formal training per school term and 48 days of paid employment per year. During this time, trainees will complete the Certificate II in Agriculture (Beef Cattle Production). In this case the Host Employer can be your parents or family property, which allows you the opportunity to work with family towards your Certificate. Opportunities are available for school based trainees to progress to Certificate III and continue as Full Time trainees on completion of their studies. Potential also exists to use the qualification gained at school to enhance employment into a wide range of other industries. |
